Mom reached out to us and said her son loves music, hence, she wanted a music-themed shoot. He is very fascinated by the keyboard. Of course, our response was "No prob, we've got this."
We asked mom to bring a keyboard and we would get some old vinyl records to add to the setting. Brada'in isn't much of a smiler but to mom's delight, we were able to get couple shots with him smiling.
Parents are normally concerned about their children smiling during photoshoots or about their children looking into the camera. However, I put it to you that sometimes candids are best.
Sometimes allowing the children to be themselves is more important. Know their sleeping patterns, feed them before the shoot, ensure they are in comfortable clothing and footware and allow them space to play and have fun.
